Form not showing up in page

  1. The form does not show up in preview or in a page with HTML shortcodes for it. I would be happy to give admin info so you can look at it. It is supposed to be here:

Hi, you are currently calling for JQuery 1.5 in your theme, but WordPress ships with JQuery 1.7.1 which is what Gravity Forms expects to see. Can you please make the change to your theme or contact the theme developer to make this adjustment?

  4. It was working perfectly until I updated the plugin to the newest version.

WordPress comes with version 1.7.1 by default. We program around what WordPress is doing. We've added new features and advancements and as such, they need a more modern version of JQuery, so it is time to upgrade/fix your theme.

  6. And you are certain that is what is causing the form to not show up? It doesn't show up in the preview of the form either and I thought that didn't use the theme.

Additionally, a smaller, one page form does work fine everywhere.

I have the same issue. None of my forms are working and I need rely on them for my business... This is not good. It looks like all the forms with conditional logic are no longer working. Simple form without logic are working fine. I can't afford to upgrade the theme at this point, I need to roll back to the previous version of gravity. Where can I download the last version and what's the process?

UFlorida Mark - I can only deal with solving issues until there are none left for me to help deal with. The JavaScript issue is a large one.

Can you go through these steps please to help me better understand the potential source of the problem?

  9. I have not changed anything other than updating the GF plugin. Doing so caused the forms with conditional logic to not work any longer. Where can I downgrade back to an older GF?

I have changed the theme to an older theme, much older, that it works with. I am not sure why the newer theme is not compatible with the newer GF update. Is there a plan to fix the compatibility issues people are having?

  10. Hi I am having the same issue, only happened after upgrading to the latest version of GF. I have two forms on this site: http://www.fusion316.org/chicago. The one with conditional logic (http://www.fusion316.org/chicago/event-registration/) doesn't show up, but the one without CL does show up (http://www.fusion316.org/chicago/donate/). Huge problem, please help!

I also noticed the total option under the pricing category isn't working either.. so this all has to do with latest WP udate...

    "jQuery and jQuery UI
WordPress now includes the entire jQuery UI stack and the latest version of jQuery: 1.7.1."

We are having the exact same problem since upgrading yesterday to the latest version of Gravity Forms. We are using the current version of wordpress and our theme is up-to-date. We have gone through the plugin/theme conflict testing and there are no compatibility issues. The only major change was the GF plugin update.

    Example problem form: http://www.royalsteamline.com/portfolio/calliope-invitation/

Problem: The "Default Value" does not appear in form fields that have conditional logic enabled. (There should be text in each of those form fields -- similar to that found in the invitation form -- when selecting "Duo" or "Trio"). You'll notice that the character count under a blank line will read something like "45 of 65 max characters," which shows it's registering that there is content there. When you hover over the line to type, the character count changes to 0 of 65 max characters"

If you do not have an immediate fix for this problem, please include instructions on how to downgrade to a previous version of Gravity Forms.

These forms are a core part of our business process and this missing information is detrimental to the process and ultimately our reputation.

  15. Hi,
Same here, after updating to the latest version of GF the forms broke.
After removing the conditional values in the forms it all works again.

  16. @hello - can you send me an email to rob@rocketgenius.com and reference this post.

Rian, your issue is because your site is using a much, much older version of jQuery. See this Screenshot.

Gravity Forms relies and uses the most up-to-date version that is packaged with WordPress to function and to make use of newer features. Fixing your site so it calls the latest version of jQuery will solve your conditional logic problem.

  17. @rob Thanks for your reply.
You are right, I assumed the version of jQuery would be ok, since I use the latest version of WordPress, totally overlooking an old slidehow plugin that deregistered the current jQuery and added an older version. I removed the plugin and it all works fine now :)
