Form Settings not shown when editing forms

  1. Hello!

I recently bought Gravity Forms Personal License and there seem to be problems with the Form Settings. First of all, when I create a new form there's no "Unitled Form" title or the "We would love to hear from you! Please fill out this form and we will get in touch with you shortly." by default as I observed in the demo. Secondly, the settings for the Form Settings and ALL the fields are not arranged in tabs as well.

More problems arise when I save the form. It accepts the changes but when I continue editing forms the Form Settings box become blank again even if the save was already confirmed. My edits on other fields are fine.

I tried this on a fresh install of Wordpress 3.1.2 and Gravity Forms 1.5.2

If this will be of any use to you, here's my Installation Status:
    PHP Version 5.3.1 (check)
    MySQL Version 5.1.41 (check)
    WordPress Version 3.1.2 (check)
    Gravity Forms Version 1.5.2 (check)

    Thank you for your help.

  2. It sounds to me like WordPress flubbed the installation process. You may want to delete the plugin then try re-installing a fresh copy.

  3. I've tried doing a plugin reinstall, but still nothing. I also have already tried installing on another fresh WordPress install.

Here's what I have found in the search that may be similar to my problem, but it was closed without an answer: http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/creating-new-form-issue

  4. You are going to have to test for theme and plugin conflicts. That is the likely cause based on what you described. You can find instructions on how to do this here:

Let me know how it goes.

  5. Carl I installed the plugin on a fresh install of WordPress. There are no other plugins activated and installed, and I'm still using the default theme.

I tried installing Gravity Forms locally through xampp and it worked just fine. I think the problem is coming from the server, but may I know what part of the plugin might be involved so I could ask support from my web host?

Also if this helps, my web host is gate.com

  6. It's possible it's one of the following...

    - File permissions issue. Check to make sure ALL the Gravity Forms files, subfolders and files within subfolders are CHMOD 755 and test with that. It's possible file permissions are preventing scripts from being loaded.

    - PHP Memory issue. You may be running out of available PHP memory due to low settings on the server. Some hosts default to a low amount of memory. Here is a tutorial on how to increase available PHP memory:

    http://www.nerdgrind.com/increase-wordpress-and-php-memory-limit/

    - MOD_SECURITY firewall issue. Usually this only happens when you try and save a form and it doesn't save. So it doesn't sound like this based on what you described.

If you send us a WordPress admin login for the site via our Contact Us form and reference this forum post I can take a look at it.

  8. Just replied via email. I'm a little confused as to what issue you are encountering.

I was able to create a new form, edit fields, and save the form and then submit a test form without a problem. You can see the form I created in your site by going to Edit Forms.

What operating system, browser and browser version are you using? Can try try clearing your cache completely or try another browser? I tested using both Safari, FireFox and Chrome on a Mac without any problems.
