Form submissions times are ~34 minutes off.

Gravity forms was working just fine until a few months ago, it started to put submissions from every form about 34 minutes into the past. The wordpress posts on the site are logged at the correct time, so I know this problem has to be local to gravity forms. I am not sure where to look to fix this problem, has this happened to anyone else?

Here is proof of the issue.

I've never seen that issue before. Our times are based on server time and should be showing up correctly. Which version of WordPress and Gravity Forms are you using?

We are on Wordpress v3.4.1, and Gravity Forms v1.6.2.1.1

  4. Please update to the latest Gravity Forms (1.6.4.5.4). Downloads are available here. http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/

That's certainly a strange situation which I have not seen before. Are there any caching plugins active on the site? Do the notifications arrive with the correct time on them, or the later time?

OK, so I updated GF using the link provided. Still have the issue. The notifications do arrive on time. Currently, we have no plugins that do caching.

Can you check to see if your server time is off? It seems very strange to me, and I don't know what is going on that would cause this specific issue just for you and no one else (as I've tested it on my three dev servers without issue).

  7. Can you post a link to your site please? We can check the server time in the response headers.

Server times should be correct, as normal wordpress posts are documented on time. You are more than welcome to check for yourself though. The address is http://www.kjhk.org

Thank you for all your help!

  9. The page headers looked correct for the current time.

If you submit the form from the preview, are the times correct?

Submitting from the preview will still give the incorrect time.

  11. Interesting. Can you send me an admin login for the site to chris@rocketgenius.com - it might be easier than asking lots of questions.

However, I did think of one more. Where did the "sent at 8:36" notation come from in your entry? Maybe whatever provides that information is where the error comes from.

Additionally, is the entry actually stored at 8:02PM, with the notation that it was "sent at 8:36", which is in the future?

The "sent at 8:36" was the message body of a basic contact form, which came from me recording the actual time and submitting it. It shows that Gravity Forms logs all form submissions about 34 minutes before when they are actually submitted.

  14. HI. I responded to your email with my thoughts. Let's update this topic once the issue is resolved. Thanks, Chris

  15. Update from TomJ - after contacting the hosting company's support, it looks like they silently fixed whatever issue was causing the mismatched time, and the problem has gone away. We're not sure what the issue ultimately was because the host never got back to the customer.
