Form to Post w/ Login

  1. I want to set up a site where people can post articles and then have others rate them. I see I can have the default author be a person that is logged in. I would like to use something where people login first with all their info and they can just use that login whenever they write an article. I want to do this so that people don't put in fake names or websites where they write for or give others bad names. Does this make sense?

You can do what you're after by using a combination of Gravity Forms, Justin Tadlock's Members plugin (use this to keep the post-an-article form from public access) and one of the various ratings plugins in the WordPress plugins repository (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins).

You may still somehow need to manage the registration process so that you authorise new users, as automatic registration with access to the posting page/form could still raise spam issues for you.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Yeah after I wrote the question i remember that gravity forms could be used with the members plugin. I have tried it in the past and had a problem figuring it out, but i just got his premium membership so I can ask questions in the forum. If anyone has done this before though, it would be helpful for any hints. Richard do you have any preferences on a rating plugin? Thanks for the post.
