Forms not delivering apparently...

  1. OK, so we have a two forms embedded on this page:

    secondmilewater.org/internships

It's come to my attention through two people following up that they filled out and submitted the form, but we never got it - no email notification, and it's not in the database under the GF form entries in wordpress.

This means that many more people could have or are trying to apply, and think they have submitted their application, and it's just lost into the ether. No good.

Has this happened to others, and how to I check to see if a given form is broken and doesn't deliver data once the user hits submit? It isn't an all-or-nothing problem? Some people, ~50 so far, have been able to successfully submit the form. But it seems for others that everything acts like it works, but the form never submits...

    Hi Travis,

As you appear to be using W3 Total Cache it's possible W3TC could be interfering with form submission so my first port of call would be to try excluding the page containing your form by adding the page's URI to the "Never cache the following pages" box on the W3TC Page Cache Settings tab.

    Regards,
    Richard

  3. Richard, thanks for the advice. Unfortunately it was doing this before W3TC was activated (we just activated it last week).

Any other thoughts, and any way to tell how many applciations are dropping off/not being delivered?

Have you tried testing for a plugin/theme conflict, you can find testing advice here http://rkt.gs/testing
