Forms not working

  1. I have GF 1.7.2 (after a recent update) and NONE of my forms are displaying on my website (www.videobenefitsguy.com). Also, in WordPress Admin for GF, I can't view past Entries, edit form settings, nothing works. Existing forms say "This form doesn't have any fields yet. Follow the steps below to get started." Under Form Preview, I get "Oops! We could not locate your form." Please help. I have no idea what to do. Thank you.

Are you able to create a new form? Does that work? How did you update Gravity Forms? What version of WordPress are you running?

  3. I can start a new form, but it does not save (circle keeps spinning.) Form will display in the list, but no functionality works. I updated Gravity Forms via the WordPress install button. I am using WordPress 3.5.1. I have recorded a brief screencast via the link below to show what I am experiencing. Any help is appreciated:

Can you download Gravity Forms fresh from our site using Download Gravity Forms. Can you, using FTP delete what you have currently and upload the unzipped fresh copy.

Then can you try it and see if it works?

If not, can you then check Forms -> Settings and see if No Conflict is on or off. If it is off please enable it and test again.

If that doesn't work, can you try the following steps please?
    http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Testing_for_a_Theme/Plugin_Conflict

Let us know if you find out what is causing the issue. If none of these work, please let me know and we will come up with next steps. I haven't seen this issue yet in 1.7 so I am not exactly sure what is causing it.

Does the same thing happen when you disable all other plugins? Have you tested for a plugin/theme conflict http://rkt.gs/testing

PHP errors like you are seeing at the top of the entries screen can occur due to plugin conflicts

    Regards,
    Richard

  6. Hi I just downloaded Gravity Forms today as well; this is my second download as I have used your product successfully on another site; after the download I went to create a form; I clicked on "New Form" and a box twice the size of normal popped up; the box was big enough such that the words "create a new form" and "form title" were under the menu bar; the box could not be dragged downward; reducing the menu did not help either

Fortunately, I read this post and put the "no conflict" button to "on"

    Problem solved!!

Amazing how the forum works and amazing that this occurred twice in 1 day

I saved imaged of what happened if interested

    thanks

  7. I'm not that tech saavy so I don't know how to use FTP to do what you asked. I did the following:
    1. Enabled No Conflict
    2. Deactivated Plugins, tested Gravity forms

Neither of these steps resolved the issue.

I don't understand how to do the Theme test and would be concerned I would "delete" my current Theme.

My hosting provider does nightly backups of my database. Would you suggest I have them re-set the database to a time before I updated the GF Plugin?

How can I resolve this - really need some help here - I am getting no leads from website because no forms working. What other info can I provide, or steps can I take?

    Thank you.

dcleary - Please change your theme to the default WordPress theme before doing anything extra. You won't delete your theme by changing themes. There are tutorials on how to do this, even a few on YouTube probably if you are feeling uncomfortable.

After that, I want you to go to our downloads page, and download the Meta Recovery add-on and install it.

  9. Hi David Peralty - I don't see the Meta Recovery add-on at http://www.gravityforms.com/add-ons/

Not sure what to do. This is what one of my pages looks like where a form should be: http://videobenefitsguy.com/contactconnect/

It is actually on our Downloads page - http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/

It looks like on that page you are having issues with the Salesforce add-on, can you disable it and see if that fixes things?

@dcleary the Meta Recovery tool is available to download from the bottom of the 'Download Gravity Forms Page' here http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/

@dcleary have you tried the Meta Recovery tool as suggested above

  14. @richardvav - thank you. I have sent the info to my hosting provider for their assistance. In the meantime, I have had to resort to implementing a new form on all my pages. Lost three days of potential leads so far. I appreciate the assistance.
