Freight by province

  1. I have a client who wants to set up a "Shipping & Handling" field on the order form with the flat rate amount to be calculated by Province, e.g., if Province = "ON", S&H = 10.00, if Province = "QC", S&H = 12.50" and so on. We also need to calculate the Sales Tax in the same way.

Can Gravity do this via the conditional logic fields? And ensure that people placing the orders can't overwrite what shows up?

    Thanks

  2. This would be possible using conditional logic. You'd have to add a Shipping Field for each province and then a Drop down to select the province. Then you would use conditional logic to show or hide the appropriate shipping field. The price data associated with Pricing Fields cannot be tampered with, it validates it against what is configured.

As for handling tax, you'd have to do this as a customization. Try searching the forums for tax and fees related to the PayPal add-on. There are examples of how to do this as a customization. Here is one of them:

  3. Hi Carl,

I would like to do this, but GF gives me an error that I'm only allowed to add one shipping field per form. Is there a work around?

    Thanks!
