"from" address in e-mail notification won't change

  1. I am trying to change the "from" address in e-mail notification for a form. I change the address, and save the updated form, but when I test the form, the "from" address has not changed to what I entered. It remains the original "from" address. Please advise!

    thanks!

  2. What do you mean by "original" from address? The from address that you originally set and then changed? Or a default from address?

Are you running any kind of caching plugin such as a database caching plugin or W3 Total Cache? If so that could be interfering.

It's also possible your web host won't allow you to set the From address to something not associated with your web hosting account.

  3. My original "from" address shows up in the message as From: gertzse@muohio.edu [mailto:gertzse@muohio.edu]. I am trying to change it to info@terrificscience.org.

  4. I understand, but where did this "original" email address come from. Was it an email address you had entered in that From address at one point? I need to know what you mean by "original" before we can proceed and provide assistance in determining the problem because it isn't clear what "original" means. If it was one you had entered in that field at one point, and can't save over it, or what.

When you go to Notifications does the email that it uses as the From address differ from the email address set in your Notification settings?

Also as I mentioned are you running any kind of caching plugins like a database caching plugin or W3 Total Cache?
