From mail address not used

  1. Hi,

I'm using a form at http://touringcaramsterdam.nl/offerte/ - using the filled in Email Address as "from address" in "notifications". Still, if I press Reply, the To address is used. So the mail is sent to info@touringcar... and seems to come from info@touringcar... as well. Not from the
customer who filled out the form.

    Something I did wrong?

    Thanks!
    Edde

Can you link to a screenshot/image of your notifications section on that form so we can see how you've filled that out? Looking forward to helping you resolve this.

That looks correct to me. So you are saying that the e-mails sent out should have a reply to address of the e-mail address put in by a user but seems to be replying to the to address?

Usually, this happens from a plugin conflict or a server misconfiguration.

Can you try the following steps to test/resolve plugin conflicts?

And if that doesn't solve it... trying out one of the SMTP plugins that exist may resolve the issue for you.

Gravity Forms uses WordPress' built-in wp-mail.php to send e-mail notifications, and while this isn't the most robust e-mail system, it works correctly more often than not.

  6. In order to be able to switch off and on all plugins to test plugin issues, I first removed some unused plugins that were disabled anyway. Then I noticed a small plugin "mail from". Turned it off and everything is working fine. Sorry! Thanks for your quick reply!
