Glitch. Plugin duplicted in plugin area (yet only one copy in FTP)

  1. I haven't yet upgraded our website to 1.8 as it is fairly complex. It is based on the Elle Theme. (http://www.momsdadsandkids.com)

When I was doing some cleanup prior to upgrading, I noticed two references to Gravity Forms, and two references to MailChimp in Appearance. In each case, one is activated and one is not. That said, when I checked the files via FTP there was only one directory for each.

I'm nervous about upgrading to 1.8 thinking there could be some underlying glitch that's gonna take my whole site down. Any advice?

  2. I would be nervous about updating to 1.8 as well seeing as how the current version available for Gravity Forms is v1.6.3.3.4. If you're talking about the Mailchimp add-on, the current version is v1.6.3. Which thing are you asking about when you refer to 1.8?

It sounds like you have something odd going on with your server or there was some glitch when you uploaded your files or have something cached. Either way, it shouldn't be a Gravity Forms issue. The entries are stored in the database so it won't matter if you remove any duplicate file directories. As long as you don't delete the entries in the database they should be fine whenever you get the duplicate issue sorted.
