Google Analytics Event Tracking

  1. I have tried pasting the code into my theme's function as recommended http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/onclick-tracking#post-7734. However, no luck. When I click update, it shows syntax error. Can an admin please help? Gravity Form is too complicated when it comes to GA tracking.

Can you post your theme's functions.php file on pastie.org or http://pastebin.com/ and give me the URL of it so I can take a look? When you have a syntax error, you usually need to download the file to your computer, edit it in notepad or some similar piece of editing software and then re-upload it because when there is a syntax error, you can't "update" the file. This is a limitation of WordPress.

As for it's complexity regarding stats tracking, we do our best to make it as simple as possible by offering hooks rather than cluttering the user interface with things that many people don't need. I appreciate that it is difficult for you, but that is why we are here to help. :)
