Gravity forms and download content.

  1. I want to use Gravity Forms to collect customer information then re-direct the user to a download page. I know this is quite easy to do, but there's an added complication.

I'm working on a site that will contain 100s (maybe 1000s) of white papers in PDF format, my client wants to collect customer information before allowing a user to download a PDF.

Is there anyway I can use Gravity Forms to help with this? I want to avoid creating a unique form for each download. I need some way of attaching a downloadable PDF to a form on a page by page basis.

    Any ideas?

  2. Is the intent here for a user to only have to "register/sign-up/fill out a form" one time? Or would they need to fill out a form if they wanted to view 200 of these things?

  3. Thanks for responding to this.

They'd need to fill in the form each time they want to download a PDF. I want to avoid creating hundreds of contact forms. Until we see lots of returning visitors trying to download 20+ PDFs we're assuming the average user will only download one or two.

Any ideas how this could be done with Gravity Forms?

  4. The only idea I have for you is to create a drop down field on the form that lists all of the options and then use conditional shortcodes in the confirmation message or notification that will provide the correct PDF when the corresponding option is chosen.

    See "Conditional Shortcode" section here:
