Gravity Forms Capability?

  1. I am not a web expert and am currently running a not for profit Ski Lodge website using hosted Wordpress and a Thesis 1.84 Theme. I wonder if Gravity Forms is capable of replacing the following cumbersome .pdf form process which currently entails downloading the form, completing it by hand (with a pen) and faxing the completed form to request a booking http://attungaskilodge.com.au/Documents/AttungaBookingForm.pdf . I wonder if the form is too complex for Gravity Forms? The ideal would be to have the form completed online with results emailed to managers and available in a database or spreadsheet.
    Many thanks.

  2. Yeah, you can create this form with GF. We have ready classes that will allow you to place fields inline and such. You might want to set the expectation that the form will not "look" exactly like the PDF, but it can accomodate all of the fields and information, probably in a variety of ways. It could be possible to get it to look identical in terms of layout, but it will take custom CSS to achieve. But, that's the difference between printed PDF forms and web forms.

Once the form is submitted a notification can be sent out to whoever needs to get it and will be recorded in the database and entries can be exported to a CSV file. Hope this helps!

  3. Great thanks - no need for form to look the same as long as all the data is collected. Am I correct in saying that calendars will pop up for date selection in the Gravity form? Also can some logic be built in such that member or no-member daily or weekly rates (http://attungaskilodge.com.au/bookings) populate the pricing fields and, more importantly can someone with no CSS and limited web setup knowledge set up the Gravity form?
