Gravity Forms & SocialGrid Conflict

  1. Hey guys,

I'm using the awesome Gravity Forms on my blog and have been searching long and hard for a good plugin to show off my social media profiles. Socialgrid provides a very simple and elegant solution.

Problem is, it doesn't play nice with gravity forms and vice versa. When both plugins are activated neither of them work. I have to deactivate one so I can make changes to the other. The problem appears to be with jquery, but I haven't researched any further.

Here's a link to the plugin:

Thanks for your help here - and if you know of another social media widget kinda thing that is pretty and doesn't break gravity forms - I'm all ears! ;)

  2. We are making a change in v1.3.12 that will eliminate the last remaining JS that was loaded outside of the Gravity Forms specific admin pages, the tooltip jquery script we use. I just tested it with socialgrid and was able to use the socialgrid plugin without a problem so it looks like that will resolve the issue. So watch for it in 1.3.12 when it is released.

  4. Hey Carl,
Apologies if I should post this as a new topic, but I'm also noticing that Gravity Forms also appears to conflict with the new custom background option for WP 3.0. Will the 1.3.12 update resolve this as well? If so, any idea of an ETA or some way you could post the changes needed to be made so I can manually implement them?

I've got a site scheduled to go live on Friday and this is a (minor) bug that I'd like to get resolved quickly. Thanks and again, my apologies if I'm not following proper forum protocol.

  5. What exactly is the issue? Does it prevent the Custom Background admin page from working properly? Contact me via our Contact Us form and I will send you an updated version of Gravity Forms that you can test with.

  6. Hey Carl,

Contacted you via the form: "Select a color" in Custom Background doesn't work with Gravity Forms enabled. Thanks!
