max file upload size

  1. We have setup and tested our gravity forms on our new acting website but now as everyone is signing up there is a major issue with file upload.

We need to set a max file upload size as the servers are overloading. I have looked everywhere and cannot find this in any settings.

Also the other issue thats is VITAL is that since we updated the plugin we cannot seem to find the option for recording entries that are incomplete. There used to be an option that would record all entries even for forms that were never completed.

WHat is happening is people are coming our website and are unable to upload to the site and are just giving up and we have no record whatsoever of their entries. If the entries were recorded we could could contact them and complete them manually.

We need this fix asap as it is costing us 85% percent of our business according to the views versus applications!!!!

The max file size issue is a server setting, not a Gravity Forms setting. Gravity Forms doesn't have a way to test for file size.

As for your other issue, there is a third party add-on called the Data Persistence add-on that might give you what you want regarding saving incomplete entries - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gravity-forms-data-persistence-add-on/

Not a solution but a stop-gap perhaps. Put a HTML field in above or below the upload field with a note regarding upload size and make sure you bold it!

Apparently you could set a maximum file upload size in your site .htaccess file:
