Hidden calculation product not showing up in total

  1. I am using a calculation product in order to determine the total price due by my clients. The price increases as a percentage of the other products ordered.

The calculation works fine, but I would like to hide the calculation product and just display the total fee. Having browsed the support forum, I used the CSS class 'gf_hidden' for the product. This does indeed hide the product but the amount is no longer showing up in the total.

Are you able to suggest what I might be able to do?

    Thanks

    Nick

  2. If you still need help with this, can you post a URL to the page on your site where we can see this in action? Thank you.

  3. Yes please. The url is http://www.elementalcosec.com/company-secretarial-services/process-agent/process-agent-appointment-form/
The relevant sections are on 'page 2'. The total should vary dependant on the fields 'Duration of Appointment' and 'Total Number of Contracts'.
Duration of Appointment is a product selection and each 'number' is a different product with the relevant price.
'Total Number of Contracts' is a Quantity field. There is then a product which is hidden, which is a calculation based product with the formula '{Duration of appointment:32} * ( {Quantity:34} -1 ) * 0.25'
This works when the product is not hidden, but does not work when the product is hidden (as currently).

  4. When the field is hidden, it won't be included in the total. That's how conditional logic works (when the product is hidden, it is not included in the total.) Can you explain why it's hidden? Maybe there is another way to do this.

  5. Hi there

It was actually hidden through using the gf_hidden class rather than conditional logic (as this didn't work).

In any event, I have found a work around now by just using a calculation product for everything.

    Thanks

  6. I was only mentioning that items that are hidden with conditional logic are hidden with CSS as well. The issue is similar but not what was causing your problem.

I'm glad you found a work around using a calculation. Thank you for updating this topic.
