Hide/change Sender email

  1. Hi,
Google mail analyzes the message headers and displays the sender email adresses in the mail (see also https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&ctx=mail&answer=1311182).

I setup a Multisite Wordpress and want to make several other websites for other users under it. But I don't want to give the website users admin rights only editor. But the contact forms send the email address of the admin with the contact notifications and so this is spread if they reply on this.

    My questions are:
    1. Which email is used? The admin of the site or the Network admin email address?
    2. Can I do something about it so that gmail doesn't display it? Maybe spf record? If so what?
    3. Or can I somehow use another email address than the admins for the sender email?

  2. You can set the FROM email address for every notification. It's in the form Notifications tab. Have you tried that?

Also, I have used the "Mail From" plugin in the past, to change the email address that WordPress notifications come from (so, no more FROM wordpress@example.com emails.)
