"High Importance" AKA "Red Exclamation Mark" Notifications

  1. How does one set a form to send out notifications as "High Importance" i.e. the red exclamation point/mark that show in Outlook and other POP3 mail clients?
If that is not a possibility, what might one do to bring more attention or awareness to a notification email?

  2. What you are referring to is Outlook specific functionality. It isn't a feature of Gravity Forms. The only thing you could do is incorporate an indicator in the subject title of the notification.

  3. The red exclamation mark is Outlook's way of handling the X-Priority header in a message. It should be pretty trivial to add that to notification emails. Different clients will handle it differently, though. So, putting ###!!! subject !!!### as your subject might be more reliable.

  4. Different clients do handle it differently and we aren't going to get into incorporating email client specific functionality unless it is something that is highly requested. Unfortunately this is the first request we've ever had for it so it's unlikely to be added anytime soon.

  5. Cool, thanks.
I had a few clients that were used to the cforms2 feature: Email priority (1 = High, 3 = Normal, 5 = Low)? Now that I switched them all over to GF they miss it. I'll see if unique signifiers in the subject line might pacify them.
