How big is to big with a form

I have a form with around 40 radio button fields and 200 product fields. These are all using conditional logic. The form takes a very long time to load in the admin, if it loads at all. Same holds true for the front end of the site. So, is my form to long or what? Previously I was using html fields instead of product fields, and it worked fine. Any thoughts?

    Site is not public.

I have this form broken into two pages and it's taking about 12 sec per page to load. You can view it at http://www.sellanapple.com/get-a-quote and use password getmein.

    Thank you,
    Keith

    I just got this message:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Apache Server at http://www.sellanapple.com Port 80

I'm hosting with godaddy. Any ideas?

  4. Can you get a php info listing please so we can see what resources you have available? You can create a file on your site called info.php and put this into it:

    <?php
php info(); (remove the space between php and info)
    ?>

Then call it up in the browser at http://www.sellanapple.com/info.php. Share the URL with us or paste the output to pastebin.com or pastie.org so we can see.

The Internal Server Error should be logged. It will show in the logs as a 500 error code. Can you find out what caused that? That will help us troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks Chris. I have set up this page located at http://www.sellanapple.com/info.php. You will need to use the password getmein to enter the site.

    Thanks,

  6. It looks like your memory_limit is 64M which should be OK. However, I see a max_execution_time of 30 seconds, which might be exceeded if the form takes a long time to load.

Can you find out what 500 Internal Server error was logged? That will help us pinpoint the issue.

It took over 2 minutes and the form never loaded for me. Can you try exporting that form (Forms > Import/Export, then the top center menu item "Export Forms") and email the XML file to me at chris@rocketgenius.com - I would like to install it and see how it responds on my server.

    Chris,

I'll email it to you in a couple hours. I'm not sure how to find out the 500 Internal Server error was logged. That's outside my expertise. If you can steer me in the right direction or I can give you my info for you to look at.

    Chris,

I emailed you earlier today. Just checking to see if you received it and if you have any suggestions. This site needs to go live asap and this form is key to the whole site.

    Thanks,
    Keith

  10. For finding out what the 500 error was, you may need to contact your host to get access to the error logs. Or maybe they are accessible from your website control panel. When the 500 error is shown in screen, it is normally logged as well, and the log will contain important information to help troubleshoot this on your server.

    Chris,

I'll check on the error log, although I have only seen the 500 error once. I just send the forms again, this time to both addresses. Please check your junk mail if you don't see them. They will be coming from keith@khcreativemedia.com. My goal is to resolve this issue tonight or use a different method than these forms because I am a week over the deadline at this point.

Also, I'm not being notified via email when a reply is made to any posts, so I'll keep a check on this page for your answer or you can email me directly at the email address above.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Keith

Looks like I failed to enable error logs, which you have to do with GoDaddy.

Have you had a chance to look at the form?

I know I'm starting to get annoying at this point, but I'm seriously going to have to abandon this plugin for another option if I can resolve this today. I'm trying to avoid this due to the amount of time (approx 3 hrs) it took to set up this form. At this point, the project has stalled and my client is getting frustrated. Can you please assist?

To rant in the most professional way, this plugin is useless without customer support. I've been trying to resolve this for several days and have got nowhere with support. As much as I like your plugin, I will not be moving forward with it due to you lack of support.

    Thanks,
    Keith

  16. Keith, I have not received any email from you. If you would like assistance, please post your email address here and I will send you an email, to which you can respond. There should be no issue with your email getting to me at that point. My email addresses are chrishajer@gmail.com or chris@rocketgenius.com if you would like to try again.

I just checked my spam folder going back to February 3 and I have no email from you there.
