How can I block an individual user?

  1. I have a form for guest post submissions. It all works perfectly, including the Captcha.

However, I have one individual who persistently posts unacceptable entries. Every day he posts several submissions, none of which are relevant to my blog. Thankfully, each submission only gets posted as "draft" so it does not affect my blog, but it does take a bit of admin time.

I have emailed him several times saying he is wasting his time, but he does not respond to my emails, nor take any notice of them. The emails do not bounce back, so appear to be getting through.

What I'd like to be able to do is to refuse form entries from, say, a particular IP address or email address.

Is that possible? I can't see a way of doing it.

I know I could add the user registration add-on, but all that would happen is he would register and the problem would just carry on...!

Any ideas what I can do?

  3. Thanks Rob, I've updated the .htaccess file and hopefully that should stop things. Much appreciated.
