How can I create a visible, read-only field on a form?

  1. In my "tell-a-friend" form I've mentioned in other posts, I would like to display the URL the sender is submitting to their friend on the form - but not allow them to change it.

I would also need to default this field with the referring URL when they clicked on the link to start the form process.

So for example, the form would say:

Here's the URL you are sending to your friend:
    http://example.com/the_post_permalink

    Ideas anyone?

  2. There's no built-in way to do this right now but it's not difficult to do.
