How do I add words to the Post Body when needed to make sense grammatically?

  1. Here is my form: http://www.prizepapa.com/add-a-sweep/

    When someone fills it out and chooses United States and Canada it looks like this in the body part:

    their description....

    United States Canada

    Is there any way to get the word "and" to show up in the body when United States and another choice is selected?

    For example:

    their description....

    United States and Canada

    or

    their description....

    United States and District of Columbia

    thanks.

  2. This isn't currently possible, you could add them to the post body but the problem would be the "and" in between them.

    One question I have is why embed this in the post body which makes them static? Why not use Post Tags field and make these tags. Add a Post Tag field to your form, change the field type to checkbox and add what options you want them to select from.

    Then you can display the tags for that post in your theme template. This would have the added benefit of them being able to click on the tag and see all the posts that have that tag... all United States sweepstakes for example.

  3. Okay I think I followed what you said. I made these tags and added them to the Post Body "Create Post content template" so it looks like this:

    {PRIZE DESCRIPTION:5}

    {Open to Residents (United States):6.1}{Open to Residents (Canada):6.2}{Open to Residents (District of Columbia):6.3}
    Ends {When does it end?:4}.

    I still don't see how I can get the word "and" to dynamically show up in there by switching over to tags?

  4. Currently there is no way to dynamically add the word "and" because it wouldn't know when it should and shouldn't add the word as their is no "IF...Then...Else" type functionality in the content template. This is something we plan on introducing when we release an Advanced Post Creation Add-On.

  6. Hey Carl is it possible to do this now with the latest version you just released?

  7. This hasn't been added to the newest version. As Carl mentioned previously, it will probably be included in an upcoming Advanced Post Creation Add-On.

  8. Has this been added yet?

  9. No. There haven't been any major features additions and this ability would be a major feature. You will know when it has been added because it will be something we promote in the release announcement blog post when we release a version that has this feature.
