How do I setup fields to have a blank first option?

So I have a drop down menu. I want to have the first option be blank or say "Select One." But it can't be a valid option selection.

  2. You should be able to do that now.

For now, you can leave the first option empty and the validation works properly.

That was a while ago, and there have been other posts since explaining it differently. Is it not working for you if you have an empty first option?

I'm new, so I haven't tried it yet.

Looks like people have been requesting this feature since November 2009.

  4. If you're using a more recent version of Gravity Forms, you can check the "enable values" option, add your default option, and set the value for that option to be empty. Like so: http://grab.by/8yer
