How does everyone feel about TinyMCE for Notification editing?

  1. We are considering adding TinyMCE to the notification email editor.

This will enable you to easily format your emails just like you would a post using the TinyMCE editor to do so. It would be introduced so that it was optional like in the page/post editor.

How does this feature idea sound to those currently using the plugin?

Wonderful! As long as it's optional.

After working with customizing email output for about 4 hours, I am definitely for it. Actually, while working on a project, I was thinking how nice it would be to have that.

If you do it, will you include the ability to add images for email? It would allow me to put out logo in at the top for our user base.

  5. If we implement it, it would be setup just like the post/page editor where you can tab between a Visual and HTML view. We would use the same UI elements. Yo answer the question regarding images, I don't see why not. Thanks for the feedback guys. We will take a look at adding this in a future release.

I think CKEditor is way better than the current TinyMCE, despite WP already using TinyMCE. My 2 cents.

  7. I wouldn't use it personally, but this would be a huge feature for many. Many of my clients no nothing of computers or the Net so the simpler the form the better, but if they were able to highlight and bold at a single click... they would be excited. This makes a great up-sell on my part, maybe I should become an affiliate. lol.

Can we get this added as an option for the post body field? or an option for any of the text fields on a form submission? Awesome.

  9. I'm not sure when we will add this as a standard feature as it opens up possibilities for more plugin conflicts anytime you introduce javascript. HOWEVER it is possible to do right now using ckeditor, and probably possible to do with TinyMCE.

    See this thread:

    http://forum.gravityhelp.com/topic/post-preview#post-823

The posts by Kevin Flahaut discuss using ckeditor and outline how to implement it.

Another user has already done so, you can see his implementation here:

    http://www.phpnukedownloads.com/submit-download/

ckeditor is very flexible and just as good, if not better, than tinymce.
