How Exactly to Set Progress bar to Zero?

    I tried to use the code here:
    http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Gform_progressbar_start_at_zero
    But then got a parsing error and only solved that by re-uploading functions.php to the child theme folder for my site.
    Has anyone tried to edit their theme functions files to show progress bar at Zero percent at the start of the form?
    It would be great to have this choice available as an admin setting in the dashboard the same way that you can pick the color of the bar.

    Just a quick update, I removed the opening <? php tag in the theme function file (since the developer had added it to the beginning of the file already) and now things are working!
