How to protect my developer license from theft?

  1. I work with a number of different clients who sometimes have "guest admins" come in to do some unique work.

How do I protect my precious gravityforms developer license from being "borrowed" by other administrators? I know I can keep the key out but I really want to key inputted so that the client gets the benefit of auto updates. thoughts?

    thanks.

  2. Hey Joel,

The license key is added to the settings page using a password form input. This obfuscates the key so no one can see it or simply copy it out and use it elsewhere.

If you're really concerned beyond that, I would suggest purchasing a separate single license key for each client and not using your developer license key. That actually gives you more flexibility should you part ways with the client. They can manage their own renewals, access support if needed, etc.
