How To Question: Video In Product Options.

  1. Hello,

I'm working on a fancy bike building shopping cart for a client and I need to see if I can do what's needed with Gravity Forms.

    Here's the Gist:
We have one product (a bike) that has 8 options, each option has 3-4 sub-options (ex: Option: Handle-Bars, Sub-Option: 4 styles to choose from. Option 2: Tires, Sub-Option: three styles to choose from).

I believe that I can do this with gravity forms, but there is a twist. I'd like to add videos to go with each option.

These guys are already doing exactly what we plan to do, if you want to see a live example:
    http://www.nycewheels.com/brompton-folding-bike-alc-custom-video-configurator.html

Notice that each option has a video and that with each successive step, the price and the weight fields are added up for the client.

My goal is to integrate this with Cart66's "add a product from a Gravity Form" feature.

    My Questions:
    Is this possibe?
What's the best way to do it?

  2. You can add videos to the form by using the HTML block. Does that accomplish what you're trying to do?

  3. I know you can add videos with the HTML block, but the HTML block isn't part of the product options, its a separate form field.

If you click the example link I included, youll see that for each step of the product selection, there are several options and the video is right inside the product options section.

  4. Okay Chris,

I've figured that I can use the HTML block and set conditional logic to only show the video if they select that option.

    That'll work.
