Input validation and clearing default value script

    Following this link http://www.gravityhelp.com/clearing-default-form-field-values-with-jquery/
    it say at the bottom of that article that required fields will validate even if the user has not changed the default value. Is there a workaround for this validation issue by now? I would like those fields not to validate if the user has not changed the default value.
