International Address - State Dropdown

I realise this is a weird use case but is there any way to set the advanced address field to use a dropdown for the state/province and the country?

I've tried using a custom address type with an array for both the country and states but it doesn't work.

Really looking for a solution that I can just use which modifies the advanced address field rather than doing something from scratch because the formatting is spot on as is (minus the drop downs)

  2. Can you post a URL for the page on your site where we can see the form, and let us know what code you tried for this "I've tried using a custom address type with an array for both the country and states but it doesn't work."?

    Hi Chris,

Its a local dev - so I can't post the link.

The code is/was just using a modified version of the Brazil example e.g. http://pastebin.com/YMbkU8dp

I used an array for the country. I wanted to see if it would make the countries a drop down list - but I am guessing custom address types may not actually allow multiple countries.

  4. Please share a link to this form when you have it online where we can see it. It will be difficult to help with your customization without seeing the form and the actual code you're using.

I'm not sure how seeing the form is going to help - all you'd be able to see is

All I want to know is how I can set the advanced address field that is part of gforms by default to have a dropdown for the country and a dropdown for the state.

I've tried adding a custom address type with an array for the country and an array for the state e.g.

    http://pastebin.com/YMbkU8dp

But it doesn't appear to work that way.

Came here looking for the same answer. Rationale is client wants the drop down so the states go into his CRM properly with an 'Other State' option for non-USA visitors.
