International Addresses

  1. Dutch ZIP-codes seems to fail the required address field check.
Officially the ZIP is formed by four numbers, a space and two letters: "1234 AB"
Lots of people skip the space, but if I put it in, the check seems to fail. Anything I can do about this?

    Thanks!

PS: I'm afraid I posted this request in the wrong forum as well (feature request). Please feel free to remove that message. Oops!

  2. We will look into this and get any necessary fixes in the next release.

  3. Is there a quick fix I can do? I really like the compact way the address-field is shown, so if possible, I use it. But the error message now also appears when you fill in a correct address (with a space in the ZIP-code).

    Thanks!

  4. Actually, I just ran a test on a form I have setup with an International address and I could put whatever I want in the zipcode. I submitted a form using:

    1234567 ABCDEFG HIJK

Which is a very long zipcode and includes multiple spaces. It submitted just fine even with the Address field checked as required.

Can you post a URL to your form here so I can submit a test?

Also what version of Gravity Forms are you running? (you can find this under Forms > Settings).

  5. I REALLY don't get it, but it works fine now. I've tested it several times. BOGGLE!

    Thanks for your quick response!

Not that it matters now, but of course I'm using the latest and the greatest: 1.3.7
    Wonderful work!

  6. Hmmm, different site, same problem. It wasn't me (pfew!)

The problem occurs when I remove the 2nd address line and country.
When I add the country and set it to default to The Netherlands, the form works fine.

I'll test some more, but maybe this is helpful already.

    Merry Christmas!!!

  7. That information is indeed helpful. I will look into it, sounds like a bug that only occurs under certain conditions as you mentioned. We will check it out and get it fixed. Thanks and Merry Christmas to you!
