We have a form with a drop down that conditionally shows different input based on what is selected in the drop down, we noticed this works perfectly everywhere except iPad3. Any suggestions?

Do you have a link to this form? What kind of issues are you seeing on the iPad? I don't have one, so it will be difficult for me to test, but more details might help me pinpoint where the issue lies.
Sure the site is about to go live today, so I will be able to send you a link at that point. But the issue is the one I just described. We have a form with a drop down that conditionally shows different input based on what is selected in the drop down, we noticed this works perfectly everywhere except iPad3.
So you are saying that conditional logic doesn't work at all using the iPad?
I am also having the same problem, but on the original iPad. The conditional logic seems to work fine on my iPod touch, but not in Safari or Chrome on the iPad. Any clues as to what the issue could be? The site is http://www.inspectionqc.com if you want to take a look.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Additional feedback to help isolate the problem. I was using the basic Twenty Eleven theme as the "design" of this site is going to pretty basic. I just switched to the WooThemes Canvas (new responsive version) and the conditional logic works when the iPad is in Portrait mode, but not in Landscape. Obviously the Canvas theme is optimized for mobile . . . I just need to figure out where in the media queries (if that is where it is) that it is breaking the conditional logic for the iPad in Landscape orientation. For the record, the conditional logic works fine on my iPod touch, so I am thinking it is any screen wider than the 768px width of the iPad in Landscape orientation.
Hi All -
I am in the same boat - site went live 2 days ago - after WAY to much time with the client making changes.. fixing a few little bugs...
I then noticed on the iPad 2 - that the form isn't working ... client hasn't noticed yet.. Only on iPad 2..
website is http://www.sickmetalhip.com
help?
Same problem here with conditional logic on iPad.....
@surfershort, please post a link to your site. Thank you.
Adam Silver, I see only the sidebar form on that page you linked. I submitted, but the form did not show any confirmation, and appeared to work OK.
No conditional logic working at all on ipad http://falmouthimagecompany.co.uk/prices/
Thanks
@surfershort,
I just tested your form with iPad 3 and the conditional logic appears to be working just fine.. (radio buttons)
I'll try to get ahold of an iPad 2 to test when I can, but I can't replicate any issues at the moment. I doubt it's hardware related since both devices should use the same mobile browser version.
@ Chris
Really? I try enter data into all fields and click the check box to get the submit button, but the submit button never shows up.
That was not my experience. When I checked the box, the submit button showed. Can you work around the problem for now, not make the submit button conditional, and just require the checkbox before accepting a form submission?
Still haven't seen a resolution to this issue so I wanted to add one more thing I have found to maybe assist in determining the issue. I have been working on the site http://www.inspectionqc.com with most of the testing on an ACER tablet. I have also done some iPad testing as well. It is not 100% of the time, but it certainly is the majority of the time, when I load the form and start to enter data, when I make a selection for the first drop down with conditional logic ("Is the Property Vacant?") the conditional logic will not click in. If I rotate the tablet (iPad or ACER) 45 degrees (i.e. from Portrait to Landscape or vice-versa) and then back again the conditional logic kicks in and works as expected. It continues to work as expected from then on. I have no idea why rotating the tablet in this way fixes the issue, but I wanted to mention it in the hope that it would help in the troubleshooting process and lead to a solution.
Thanks,
Michael Griffin
Thanks for the additional information Michael.
Hi there, I'm experiencing the same problem with conditional logic on an iPad, has a work-around been created for this issue?
Can you share a link to the page on your site where the form is embedded so we can check it out?
