Issue with custom field file upload

Hi All - I've encountered what seems to be unusual behaviour with a custom field used for file uploads (in a form that enables posting from the front end). I've set one of these custom fields up and am testing the display of the file URLs once a file is uploaded. I've done this using two methods: (1) using the post content template function; (2) adding a conditional call to the custom field entry, if there is one, so as to display an attachment link as an additional meta file (I've amended the meta entries in the index.php and single.php files of my theme to do this). In both cases, my theory was that if there is no custom field entry, then there would no link. However, in both cases, a 'failed' link is appearing, along these lines:

Is this an issue with Gravity Forms, is it something inherent in the way the custom field/file upload gig works? If the former, do you know if there's any way of fixing it please?

I can't give you a site link as I'm testing on a password protected demo site, but if you want to take a look, please email me (you have my details) and I'll give you a logon.

    Many thanks
    Richard

P.S. On an utterly unrelated note, I don't think I've ever looked forward to a plugin release as much as I'm looking forward to GF 1.5...

  7. I've created a form for adding events to my calendar. I've created custom fields for each required field of the post. I've also created a custom field file upload for the post thumbnail. I've defined a default value for this, a URL to the default picture. When I actually upload a picture using the file uploader everything's fine. The thumbnail shows up in the post as it's supposed to. The problem is that when I don't upload an image the form doesn't insert the default value info the meta field. Instead it inserts; "FAILED (Temporary file could not be copied.)". The form: http://eventmorsø.dk/tilføj-event/
