[L] next to all of my post titles

  1. Hello,

I am using the Post form and I feel like it was working for a day, then when I refreshed the page the next day all of my post titles either had '[L]' at the end of the title, or where there was no title it was like [L]. I don't know where they came from or how to get rid of them. I am using wordpress 3.3.1. The blog is password protected, so instead here is a link to an image of what is happening:

  2. I'm assuming you have a Gravity Form configured to create the post.

The first thing I would check is make sure that your Post Title field on your form does not have a content template configured telling it to add this to the Post Title. It's unlikely, but the content template can be used to prepend and append information to a Post Title so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

The more likely cause is a theme or plugin conflict interfering with the post action. If this is the case you need to test for theme and plugin conflicts to narrow down where the issue is coming from. Follow the instructions here:

    http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Testing_for_a_Theme/Plugin_Conflict

Let us know how it goes once you narrow down where the issue is coming from by following the instructions on that page.

  3. Ahh thank you. It turned out to be a plugin called 'User Access Manager'. I deactivated it and will find some other way to do what I need.

  4. An alternative I would suggest is the Members plugin which you can find here:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/

Please note when you install and activate the Members plugin it may cause the Forms menu item to disappear. Don't worry, it's just role management doing it's job. You would need to use the Members plugin to then edit the user role and make sure all the Gravity Forms related capabilities are active.

Using the Members plugin you can manage user roles and create new ones. It can also be used to manage content access.
