Looking for conditional rules in gravity forms to generate auto-reply email

  1. Hello all!

I want to say thanks in advance for anyone that can offer help. I am new to Wordpress and have had training but what I am trying to do what was not covered in the training.

On our website, we have several gravity forms in place. When each form is submitted, they go to a specific staff person via email.

I am wanting to find out if a client is filling out the form, if they answer two specific questions with a 'yes' answer, can we generate an 'auto-reply' email stating specific information to them.

The reason we need this is because based on the answers to our forms, some people won't qualify for our program. If we can get this auto reply out, it will save our staff the time to call people who are not qualified.

So the summary: Someone chooses "yes' to two specific quesitons on the form. Is it possible based on these two answers to have the system generate an auto-reply by email.

    thank you for any help!

  2. I forgot to say that the 'auto reply' doesn't necessarily have to be in the form of a generated email. The response could just be a message that appears on the screen when they hit submit.

That based on their answers, they do not qualify for our program etc etc

  3. Currently conditional notification emails aren't a feature. There is only the Admin Notification and the User Notification and the content of the messages aren't conditional. It is a feature we plan on adding in the future.

  4. Thank you for letting me know this! At least I won't be going on a wild goose chase trying to make something happen that can't yet! You are awesome!!

    Truly appreciate the quick response.

Before I leave, Is there any conditional rules in these gravity forms at all in a simplier notion.

Perhaps, like even having those people that answers certain questions on the form a specific way to... have those forms only go to a different staff persona's emali address . then that staff can just create a manual email themselves. ??

Just trying to think of an alternative but again THANK YOU!!

  5. Gravity Forms has conditional logic on fields. So you can show/hide fields based on field selections. It's an option under the Advanced tab when editing a field.

There is also conditional logic-like functionality on the Admin Notification for the Send To address called Routing. Routing lets you configure the Admin Notification so it is sent to a specific email address based on a field selection made by the user submitting the form. So for example, you can have a drop down where the user selects the Department and if the Support Department is selected the Admin Notification is sent to support, if the Sales Department is selected the admin Notification is sent to sales.

This is an option on the Admin Notification and is the Routing option on the Send To field.

  7. ahufford, I wrote something up yesterday that might be able to be adapted for your use, here:

    http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/conditional-logic-for-user-notifications

The conditional part, the PDF link, could be anything in your case. I think what you want to do is certainly possible. If you like, start a new topic with your specific case and we'll help you with the customization. Thank you.
