I can't get the mail chimp add-on to work. Let me clarify -
- installation went fine
- API key is working
- can select mailing list from form integration
The problem is nothing is ever generated from Mail Chimp. No opt-in email is sent. The subscriber is not added to the list.

When double opt-in is selected the subscriber isn't added until they respond to the email that MailChimp sends them as part of the double opt-in process.
The double opt-in triggers an email from MailChimp that asks for their approval to subscribe. They have to click on the link in the email and then the subscriber is added to MailChimp.
If you aren't receiving this email, you may want to check your spam filter settings, etc. It's sent by MailChimp, not Gravity Forms.
We can take a look, but you will need to send us a WordPress admin login for your site and your MailChimp login via our Contact Us form and reference this post. But it's possible it's an issue on MailChimp's side.

Looks like it is just a delay issue with MailChimp. They must run a cron job at certain intervals that sends the confirmation opt-in emails. They did finally show up. So if others are experiencing this problem:
1. make sure you have the latest release of GravityForms installed (I had 1.5 - but beta 1 - not the most recent)
2. allow time for the MailChimp cron job to run for it to send opt-in emails.
