Mailing address fields format in notification email

  1. Some of the form submissions we're getting have the format of the mailing address off some. Sometimes the state and city seem to be reversed, the state is missing, zip code is in the wrong place, etc.

I'm assuming at least part of this is ID10T errors on the part of the form submitters, but we're also having the issue that a missing field in the mailing address form (leaving out the city and state, for instance) throws off the formatting of the rest. In other words, the zip code shows right beside the street address instead of showing the blank fields. This is a problem because my client would like to set up some sort of auto-capture in order to import into MS Access 2010, and needs the fomatting to be more regular.

Is there a way to make this field work the way we'd like it to, or shall we just set up separate text fields for each address element?

    Thanks a bunch!

I would suggest setting up fields for each element to make it more standardized, and easier to control/style, and more. You could then also set masks for each element and require each field.
