Make a dropdown option not a viable option when the field is required?

  1. Hello,

I am using dropdown's for a required choice.

My first choice is... 'Please select option' ...then my following choices are my relavant options.

The question is, because my field is required, is there a way to make my first field a non viable option to stop the form being submitted when 'Please select option' is the selected option?

    Thanks

  2. You can "enable values" by checking the box on the field, then leave the value blank for your first selection, the placeholder (the label can remain "Please select option"). If you make the field required, that blank value will not pass validation, and the visitor will be required to make a selection before they can successfully submit the form.
