Making the "Title" field appear as the post title?

  1. I'm trying to create a guest posting form but having some serious issues. I blame nobody but myself, however, i definitely need help. Here's what I'm trying to do. (I looked for a readme but couldn't find one :( so I'm gonna give the forum a shot since it seems to be pretty good support)

1.) I've added the title field and it shows up on my form, however, when you fill the info out as a poster, it doesn't automatically place what the user inputted into the post draft title field. How do i do that?

2.) How do I build the form to allow for a user to input THEIR contact information, so that they can be considered the "author" or "contributer" of the post?

3.) How do I make it so the image that is uploaded is automatically placed in a custom field position, such as "Thumbnail"?

Any help would be greatly apprecaited. This is an awesome plugin, I'm just having a little problem getting my teeth cut with this one. I'm sure once I undestand the basics, I will go 100mph.

Could you post a URL for your form?
Did you use the post title form field? Does the form create a post but not create the post title? What other post fields are on your form and do they properly populate the post?

I have no problems getting the post title to work on my form but I can't get the post body to work.

  3. @ beanfair: I got it all to work consider the post topic handled. As far as your post body not working....that one seems to be set on autopilot. Did you include the field "body"...I assume you have...if that's the case, i would definitely send in a support ticket as your theme may be causing conflict with your gravity form.

  4. @beanfair If your Post Body isn't working it could be because you used a Paragraph Text field and not the actual Post Body field. Only the Post Body field creates the post content. It's not uncommon for people to accidentally use the wrong field and not realize it until later.
