MAXIMUM CHARACTERS in field for Gravity Forms

  1. This has always worked BUT NOW although I have specified the maximum numbers of characters for a field, it allows the person completing the form to use as many characters as desired.

It no longer cuts the text off at the maximum number of characters.

You haven't given us much to go on. Which WP version? Which Gravity Forms version? What has changed recently? How were you limiting the characters? Can you link to your form?

  3. Word Press Version 3.5.1; Gravity Forms version 1.6.12.
Nothing has changed; maximum characters just stopped working.
I was limiting characters in my form by using a paragraph field and then selecting the maximum number of characters I wanted to appear. I can link to my form but could I e-mail it to you since it is used as my company intranet and requires a password to see site. I can also email the form produced and e-mailed to me as administrator of the site showing the maximum characters allowed and showing what actually appears.

  4. Can anyone help with me limiting the maximum # of characters in a paragraph field so that the person completing the form can only submit a certain size response?

I created the form and it limited the characters as I required, then although my requirements still appear when I "edit" the form, the response in paragraph is limitless.

  5. Please provide a link to your form so we can see what's going on. You can send it via email to chris@rocketgenius.com . This is default functionality which will normally work if you configure it correctly, so there must be something going on in your specific installation.

  6. I replied to an email sent to me regarding this topic today. There were multiple old jQuery libraries being loaded and a JavaScript error which was coming from The Events Manager plugin.
