"Members" shortcode still not working with Form (saw previous post 7 months ago)

  1. As far as I can see, Justin Tadlock's Members only allows for a shortcode that allows access to be given to roles, such as [access role="subscriber"] content [/access]
    1) Is there a shortcode that would give access to a guest or a visitor, for instance, when using a signup form?

    2) Any further update on Members shortcodes? I tried to insert a form in the 'content spot' of the Members access shortcode and the form wouldn't show up. (saw earlier post, same fix?)

    Thanks!

  2. You would have to modify the Members plugin so that it's shortcode also parses shortcodes that appear within it. Justin hasn't updated this plugin in a while and this is one of the things he needs to update. You may want to try pinging him on it and your other Members plugin related questions.

  3. Ping? How would I go about that?

  4. By "ping" he means contact the developer.

  5. Here is 2 posts that explain the issue with the Members shortcode and how you can fix it yourself as far as the Members shortcode not executing shortcodes contained within it:
