Memory allocation issue after installing/activating GravityForm plugin

  1. I just purchased, installed and activated GravityForm 1.5.2.2 in my Wordpress 3.1.3 site. Now any link I hit in the dashboard generates a memory allocation erro:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/joanneam/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/theme.php on line 36

I can't even log in as an admin now, so there's no way to deactivate or delete the plug-in. Help!

  2. Ok, so I deleted the contents of the active_plugins option_name field in the wp_options table of the Wordpress database, site came back up, and then saw there was a more recent update to the GravityForms plugin (more recent then the download from the web site). Installed and activated it, and then was able to reactivate all of my other plug-ins.

With the previous version of the plug-in, activating it generated the memory issue, even with no other plug-ins active.

  3. Typically memory issues are a server configuration issue, but glad you were able to get this resolved.
