Missing Data

  1. Hello

I am using Instant Word Press as a sandbox for my website. A few days ago, I downloaded Gravity Forms and it was going well. I created three forms. One of which was a Registration page for symposium attendees. My office would get a call and my assistant would manually enter the callers information in the form and the hit submit. We had about 200 entries. We would export the entry data to excel and everything was working fine. But my assistant's computer crashed and now we can not see ANY entries. We now get 0 entries. I subsequently entered a test entry or two, and hit submit, but the entry was not recorded. At least I can't see it.

I am a novice at this. I tried and tried to recover the data, to no avail. I then though I should look at MySQL to see if the data was being stored there, but I am not sure what I'm doing, so I am writing this instead.

Any help would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated.

  2. If i delete the plugin and re-install, will i lose the forms and the entries i hope to recover?

Also, i forgot to say my Instant Word Press set up is on a flash drive.

    Thanks

  3. Not quite certain what to do here, so I thought I'd re-post this question:

    Any help would be appreciated.

  4. I know i keep asking for help, but I am afraid my post will pass by the wayside. So, again:

I am using Instant Word Press as a sandbox for my website. A few days ago, I downloaded Gravity Forms and it was going well. I created three forms. One of which was a Registration page for symposium attendees. My office would get a call and my assistant would manually enter the callers information in the form and the hit submit. I really want to stay on schedule and not let this thing derail my live site getting updated. Any help would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated!

Deleting the plugin files does not effect entries or forms.

  8. Well...I looked at MySQL and found my data is still there.

So I deleted the Gravity Form files, confident that if I re-installed the plugin I would be all set. So I did. But that did not work. Still, when I enter data on a pre-existing form and hit submit, it says thank you for the submission, but there is nothing showing as an entry. So i created a new form and I completed the form and hit submit. Still it says thank you for your submission, but it doesn't show as an entry on the admin side. But unlike the previously existing forms, if I take it a step further and go to the entries page, i then can see the entries.

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    any ideas???????????

I ran the Meta Recovery tool. But it didn't help.

    thanks in advance

  9. I hate to keep posting, but I HAVE TO RESOLVE THIS.

In MySQL, I get this message: #145 - Table '.\wordpress\wp_rg_lead' is marked as crashed and should be repaired. But when i try to open that table, it say it is in use and I can't get to the repair option. I tried to flush the table, but nothing happens (I think) and the table is still in use so I can't browse it and get to the repair option.

Does anyone have any ideas? Gravity Forms is a great plugin and I want to use it - but I just can't seem to get it to work. I am at a loss!

    Please help!

    Thanks
