Move license from one site to another

  1. Hi there,
I wish to remove the license from one website onto the another. The plugin will be removed from the old website.

    Is this acceptable?

What do I need to do? Simply remove the license code and update on the old website and add it to the new one and update?

  2. That's absolutely acceptable and you are 100% correct. Just remove the license key from the first site and apply it to the new site and you're good to go. Once you've saved it, you'll be able to auto-update from the plugins page as usual.

  3. Just want to make certain I understand correctly (intend to update to developer, but want to play around a bit more first) - the license is monitored by the number of occurances, not the domain it's installed on.

    Am I correct?

  5. What about test installations? I have a test.site.com subdomain which I use for testing everything from plugins and themes to backups and tricky post formating. It is visible publicly if you know the address, and has Site Visibility turned off in WP settings. Can I install GF there?

  6. @igneous It's usually obvious to us what is and isn't a test site, if there is ever a question we would contact the license holder for clarification. So using it on a test site is fine.
