Multiply total?

  1. Hi there,

Forgive me but I couldn't seem to find a similar post

Just bought the plugin and I am really loving it...has saved me so much time :)

I was wandering would it be possible to multiply the final total at the bottom by a quantity field? So that users could enter a quantity and it would automatically multiply the total by this number?

Instead of having to multiply each product individually as you go along?

Here is a link to my test page

    http://eha-duplication.co.uk/form-test/

As you can see they can select each option as they go and then it's only necessary at the end to add the overall amount of units required.

    I hope that makes sense

Any help would be much appreciated :)

  2. I'm a little confused because you already have a Quantity field that is multiplying the Total on that form. The Quantity field multiples the total of the Product it's associated with (including it's Options).

The Quantity field applies to a single Product. So if you want just one Quantity field you need to make sure you just use one Product Field and for all the other options you would use Option Fields.

If you have multiple Product fields then you'd need to have multiple Quantity fields (one for each product) because that is how Quantity works. Quantity isn't for the entire order, it's for a single Product and it's Options.

  3. Thanks for your quick reply

Sorry for the confusion... I set up a test page with all of my desired fields just to show you what I was after.. At the moment the quantity is only multiplying the disc surface field.

However your reply really helps me.. I will turn all the other product fields into option fields then this means I will only need one quantity field to control the main product field... Which should solve my problem.

It also answers another question I had aswell:

I was wandering why the first product field (disc surface) was not being added to the total when you selected it .. However obviously the quantiy field at the bottom (which is linked it and controls it) was blank so it was not adding it to the total unless you specified a number.

    If that makes sense
