I need a form that allows a user to choose, from a drop down, a type of income (W2, 1099, social security, etc). When that drop down is selected, another drop down allows them to select the number of income types they want to enter.

So, let's say they select "W2" and then 3. I want them to have the ability to fill out 3 sub forms of W2 information.

Is it possible, with GF, to generate a dynamic number of field sets groups to accomodate a number selected in a drop down?

  2. Currently this is not possible to do dynamically. You can, however, manually set up a set number of these groups of fields, hide them based on conditional logic, and then show however many are required by the user's selection.
