Need Help With Form PrePopulation Via Shortcode

  1. Hello,

I'm using the new plugin ElegantPURL (http://elegantpurl.com/) to create a landing page of a campaign I'm using.

I would really like to pre populate the form with data from the PURL.

ElegantPURL makes data available on the page via shortcode. For instance, if I wanted the first name to appear on the page i'd simply put: [epurl-firstname].

My question is simple, how would I get my gravity form to pre-populate with the data from the shortcodes from ElegantPURL ( [epurl-fistname], [epurl-lastname], [epurl-email], etc.)?

I've tried just dropping the shortcode into the prepopulate this field option on the form, this didn't work.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, you can't use shortcodes like that because of how/where WordPress processes shortcodes. You'll have to see about creating some sort of intermediary to convert those short codes back into real values before prepopulating form fields.
