1) On my site (for musicians) I renamed my blog page to "Songs for review"
2) I created a form where users (logged in only) can write a short text and upload a song (=mp3 file)
3) This should be posted on the blog (see step 1) so other users could listen to the song and give a 5 star rating
Problem:
The posting does appear (title and comment) but the mp3 is not visible....hence the audio player is not visible either....
Any ideas?
How are you attaching the song to the post? Are you using a custom field? Are you writing a function? Are you using Post Templates? I would need more information on how you are connecting the file upload to your blog post.

This is what I did so far:
1) I use a custom field, field type "file upload"
2) In post body I use "Create content template" and select: {Post Custom Field:5}
3) The post appears in the blog but the file (a mp3 file) ist not attached/embedded (which would trigger the audio player to be visible but it shows the path to the file as text:
Right, so you need to wrap the merge tag with HTML for embedding the MP3 in a way that it triggers your media player. You'll want to look that up as you are really close to getting it to work. All my best!
