No Entries or Notifications

  1. I am using gravity forms with my woocommerce site. The forms are working well for the products, but for standard forms that I have put onto a page, I am not receiving any entries or notifications when they are completed.

I have installed the Configure SMTP plug-in and my test email was successful. I have tried numerous emails for notifications, including a gmail address. None worked.

I wouldn't care so much about the email notification...I at least want the entries to show up on my form page.

Any ideas on what I can try to get these forms working? Thanks. Stacey

  3. Do you have a link to your form?

  4. Have you tested for theme/plugin conflicts yet?

While you do that, you can also export one of these forms above and email the XML file to me at rob@rocketgenius.com and I can take a look at it as well.

  5. I was hesitant to test for theme conflicts...but I did test plugin conflict. With this test, it turns out Akismet was causing the problem. When this is deactivated I can get the forms to work. Including the email notifications. Originally, I activated Akismet because I was getting quite a bit of spam. It has been a plug-in that I use and enjoy. Do you know of another plugin that helps with spam but doesn't conflict with gravity forms? Or do I have to live with spam in order to use these forms?

  6. There are no known issues with Gravity Forms and Akismet. Gravity Forms actually integrates with Akismet to check form entries for spam.

HOWEVER it's possible that the forms are submitting and you aren't seeing entries or receiving emails because Akismet is flagging them all as spam. If a form entry gets flagged as spam by Akismet, no email notifications are sent and the form entry is marked as spam and only accessible in the Spam area of the entry manager.

I'll have to look into this issue directly on your site. Email me the following information:

    - URL of the site
    - WordPress admin login
    - FTP login
    - Your Akismet API Key

Send this information to me at carl@rocketgenius.com and reference this support forum post. I can then take a look and see what is going on.

  7. I'm not really sure if I should post this here. However, it is the most appropriate place I have found so far.

I have an issue where I am using Akismet with GF, and the option to mark messages as SPAM or not SPAM has disappeared. I updated GF from 1.63 to 1.6.4.5.4, and it's gone now. I have tried deactivating/reactivating both plugins, and it is still gone from the Entries panel.

Any ideas would be helpful, thank you.
