I have a simple form that I want to go to 3 separate email addresses. no complex logic or anything...

so basically all I have done is:

    Email (selected)
(---I put my 3 emails here followed by a comma after each--)

does this sound right to you? or can i only choose one email, then the others have to go under BCC.. uber confused

  2. You can put all three email addresses in the notifications area under "Send to Email." Screenshot:

Enter them all on one line with commas between them, and no spaces.

Is that what you mean? You want to admin notification to go to three different email addresses?

Yes I want them to go to three separate email addresses.

However in the instance that I wanted to send more than three, would I just add the remaining emails in the BCC section or is there a limit of 3?

actually what I mean is how do I choose the destination email address, i.e. I want the email to go to 4 different email addresses that this company has.

  5. You would set it up as Chris's screenshot shows. Just place all of the emails separated by commas. Have you done that?

  6. There is no practical limit to the number of email addresses you can add in this manner. You can put 4 addresses there, or 20.

Hello yes I have done that.

However there seems to be issues with having separate emails, as the emails I want to send to are all on separate domains (i.e. john@smith.com, john@institute.com, etc).

Also does having the "_" (underscore character) in an email address, affect whether or not the email get sent out?

  8. There is no issue using separate email domain names. There are no restrictions on that.

The underscore is a valid character in an email address as well, so there is no problem there.

You may have a general email delivery problem with your host. The solution in that case is to try the WP Mail SMTP plugin. It normally takes care of most email delivery problems. Can you install and configure that and let us know how it goes? You will need the connection details for an SMTP server, probably from your host.

Yes I am going with this approach. From my understanding does it have to be localhost? or can it be any SMTP server I prescribe.

The client has setup an email address but he reckons he is not receiving any server logs of the emails being sent from the form to the email address in question.

I will keep you posted on how this goes..

You can use any e-mail address with an SMTP plugin, as far as I know.

  11. Does this scenario work in the routed section of notifications as well?

  12. Joe, please explain what you would like to do. If the scenario is different from what sallysmart asked, please begin a new topic and we'll help you there. Thanks.

  13. It is the same scenario except I wanted to use it in routing instead of straight email like she had.

  14. You can enter multiple email addresses in the box for email address when you select routing. Have you already tried it? If so, what was your experience?
