Not being notified

  1. I have done a couple tests on a form I just posted and I am not getting notified. The address to send to is correct. I have the box checked "enable emails to administrator"

HI, Gravity Forms doesn't actually deal with sending out the email notifications, it lets your web server or a wordpress smtp plugin (which you would need to install) deal with that.

I would recommend you take a look at this post by Rob which has some advice on how you should proceed http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/having-trouble-with-alerts-i-am-not-notified-of-filled-out-forms#post-44294

  5. As Richard mentioned above this is going to be a web server related issue.

Here are some questions I have so we can determine what is going on...

    - Are the emails you are using for the Send To in the notifications emails that use the same domain name as the site itself? Meaning if the site is mydomain.com are the emails you are using also email@mydomain.com? Have you checked to make sure the notification wasn't flagged as spam?

    - Have you tested using other emails using a different domain that are completely unrelated? You would want to test trying to send the email notifications to a gmail or yahoo email account. When doing so make sure you look in the spam box for those to rule out the notification being flagged as spam.

    - You mentioned you tried what was outlined in the post above, which means you tried using the WP Mail SMTP plugin. Did you configure the Settings for the WP Mail SMTP plugin and use it's built in email test functionality to send a test email? Did the test email arrive?

    - When trying the WP Mail SMTP if the test email was successful, did you configure your Notifications so that the Send From address used an email associated with the SMTP account configured in the WP Mail SMTP settings?

Ultimately we need to determine why your server is not sending the email so the questions above are important as this is a web server configuration issue and not a Gravity Forms code issue.
